Blessing of the Four Corners by Indigenous Lifeways & the Diné Tribe

Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

The attendees are able to offer support by good thoughts and prayers in the ceremony. The ceremony is being conducted to offer another line of defense in the fight against threats to the Diné people and our homelands.

The ceremony is led by Hataalii/Diné Traditional Practitioner, Lawrence Begay, who has been kind enough to offer this protection to Indigenous Lifeways and fellow frontline communities. We pray for solidarity and envision an abundant future while protecting what we hold sacred.

The ceremony will conclude with making the final water offering where we will head together to close the ceremony. This is where we maintain balance by offering back to Nahazdaan/Mother Earth in thanks to the protection we just prayed for.

Raíces Fuertes Leaders' Roundtable: Strengthening Latino Environmental Infrastructure in a Time of Threats

Time: 12:45 – 2:15 PM | Capacity: 10

As our communities face escalating political threats — including the slashing of federal environmental and climate justice grants — Latino-led organizations must be prepared not only to survive, but to thrive. This roundtable convenes Latino environmental justice leaders from across generations and geographies to share perspectives on the challenges before us, and to envision the support systems our movement requires to remain strong.

Rooted in the launch of Raíces Fuertes, the next evolution of our Colaborativo40 program, this gathering will spotlight how we can build a resilient pipeline of Latino-led grassroots organizations that are structurally prepared, technically supported, and strategically connected to access federal, state, and local philanthropic funding.

Through dialogue and shared strategy, participants will help shape the future of our collective infrastructure, ensuring that frontline leaders are not left behind in this era of shrinking federal resources and increasing repression.

Taina Asili Performance

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Taina Asili Performance event flyer

Time: 6:30pm - Doors Open

7:00–8:30 pm — Taina Asili's Fever Pitch Show

Each day Taína and several of her artist collaborators will walk an average of 15 miles to a city where they will give song offerings—moments of music and intention shared in partnership with local social and climate justice organizations. These offerings aim to resist the violence of climate devastation, incarceration, war, fascism, and genocide—while uplifting the movements for immigrant rights, racial and gender justice, and a livable future for all.

The highlighted artistic offering of this tour will be Asili’s full multimedia show Fever Pitch—a fusion of live music, dance, and video centered on climate justice—presenting at select community spaces for free or at a sliding scale, with a post-show panel conversation with local climate and social justice organizers.

As the journey continues, the core walkers will be sailed by boat from Newburgh to Haverstraw (9/21) on the historic Clearwater, co-founded by folk legend Pete Seeger to protect the Hudson River through environmental education and activism. From there the walk continues, culminating in NYC during New York Climate Week, with a final performance on the walk at UPROSE Brooklyn (9/26) the city’s oldest Latino community-based organization dedicated to climate justice.
